In the mid 1980’s, Gail turned her career focus to the computer industry, then in its infancy.  She founded GLTN Computer Consultants on Long Island, growing the company over a nine year period to two offices and a staff of twenty.  During the expansion of GLTN, Gail’s ability to form and solidify relationships flourished as her client list grew to include North Shore Health Care System, Olsten (Adecco), Roslyn Savings Bank and Greenpoint Savings Bank. In 1997 she merged GLTN with a large New York City firm and successfully sold the company.

Gail remained in the computer training and consulting field until after 9.11, when she realized that there was a tremendous need for documenting and preserving a company’s vital information, thereby ensuring a business’ continuity and stability. In 2005 Gail established Unique Business Solutions, providing business owners with tools to protect the “tribal knowledge” of their companies.

Upon completion of her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication, Gail was a certified instructor for several programs in the computer field, and continues to educate herself and her clients, stressing the importance of staying on the technical cutting edge. Gail is a board member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and a committed member of Execuleaders, The Long Island Professional Networking Group, Business Growth Network and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Gail Trugman Nikol’s business passion extends into her entire life through her support of numerous animal shelters and organizations. On a personal note, Gail credits her healthy lifestyle of diet and daily exercise for changing her life, attitude and vision.
